I haven't forgotten you all. Work is insane this week. All three of my supervisors are out west at tradeshows/meetings, leaving me to handle everything that comes through. So far, so good(compared to last week when things were crazy and I had 2 almost-panic attacks). I barely take a lunch break, but I've been reading your blogs. I haven't had a chance to comment, but I will!
My mop.

Prayers.
One of my favorite blogs is Lucky Thirteen and Counting, written by a woman who has adopted multiple children of different backgrounds and varying disabilities. I love seeing her pictures and reading about what must be a chaotic, fun-filled, love-filled life. That being said, Sandi and her family are very much in need of prayers right now. Please go and leave a comment or encouraging word.

My blog? Not so pretty.
Drawing a blank on what to write about today, so I'm looking to you all for advice.
My blog? Not cute. Someone help me! I don't want to pay for a layout, so if you know of a good resource for a free template, let me know. I'd love to make a header graphic....surely that is something I can do myself?
I welcome all advice!

On Rocky Top
I am NOT a Tennessee fan. In fact, I dislike them more than I do the Florida Gatuh's and Corch Meyer(see this video) and almost as much as I hate Georgia Tech. That being said, I'm kind of in love with a Tennessee alumni.
Lane Kiffin is leaving UT, after only 14 months, to be the head coach of his alma mater, USC.
Dang. I knew from day 1 this guy was a complete tool. I told J that I'd never want someone like him representing my university and my team. All J could say "He's got UT back in the news again! People are excited!" ...I dunno, if my team is in the news because the coach talks smack about rival coaches and racks up NCAA sanctions, I wouldn't be too excited. I'll stick with my classy coach, Mark Richt.
They are in complete shambles in Knoxville(and I admit it is kind of fun to watch!) ! On that note, I leave you with one of my favorite pictures from the Ole Miss-UT game we went to in Oxford:
Love it. Go Dawgs!

Weekend Recap
Someone do some research. I feel like "Weekend Recap" is probably the most used blog title on Mondays!
I had a pretty low-key weekend, which was nice. Although it was pretty, looks can be deceiving! It was way too cold to do anything outside, which is depressing because I'm so anxious to get out and have fun with my new camera.
Friday night, JR and I satisfied my pizza craving and ordered Domino's. Have any of you tried the Pacific Veggie American Legends pizza? I love it! I has provolone, spinach, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, onions, and then I added green peppers. I also requested light on the cheese and no black olives(yuck!). Delicious. A medium pizza gave me 3 meals--Friday night dinner, Saturday lunch, and lunch today! In comparison, a medium only fed JR twice :) Domino's is my favorite pizza. I love their sauce!
We also watched Monsters v. Aliens:
We were pretty lazy Saturday morning. The Greek adviser reception I was supposed to go to was canceled due to the cold. We eventually ventured to the mall and I picked up a cute Kensie dress(unfortunately, I can't find it online) at Macy's marked down to $35 from $98! I had some Santa money burning a hole in my pocket. Macy's was having a great one-day sale.
Saturday afternoon I watch my Bulldawgs almost defeat #3, unbeaten UK in basketball. We only lost by 8! And that's because 3 players fouled out in the last 2 minutes. We were tied or leading heading into that. Pretty good for a team picked to come dead last in Men's SEC basketball!
Saturday night, Jordan and I cooked some venison tenderloins his uncle gave him for Christmas. We marinated them and seared them. A little overcooked, but they turned out well. They will taste better on the grill(we have tons in the freezer), but it is too cold for grilling! We also played a little Super Mario Bros. on the Wii(so addicting).
We finally made it to church on Sunday; I hadn't been in so long! We spent the afternoon being lazy, watching this:

With U of M starting back this week, I'm about to get busy with sorority things. I need to get organized! I'm also doing the 30 day shred(I know, this is about the 2983102th time I've started it). This time, my BFF Amanda back home is doing it and we text each other every day. Accountability works!
Back to work...how was your weekend?

Thought for Thursday
Snow days make me wish I'd stuck with that Education major! Only in the South, though. My BFF from college teaches in Kansas where snow is a regular occurrence(and I mean real, more-than-a-dusting snow) and says they tell them to "man up and wear warm clothes". This is compared to my hometown, where my mom and other BFF teach. There, the schools decided yesterday to close early today! And there hasn't been a flake there yet!
Oh, I love the South.

Dreading the grocery store...
I need to go to the store after work. I need 2 items--salmon and quinoa---for dinner tonight. I forgot to pick them up at Kroger this weekend.
I am absolutely dreading going to the store.
Why?Yes, like the rest of the country, we're freezing our tails off right now(although it says it feels like 35* outside...that is a major improvement from "Feels like 4*" that we had yesterday). The weatherman is calling for snow starting after midnight tonight and continuing through tomorrow morning. I've heard the accumulation could be anywhere from .5"-2".
Naturally, being in the South, everyone thinks this is the apocalypse and will be storming the grocery store. Just forget the fact that this has been on the forecast for a week!
Please. All I need is salmon and quinoa. Let me through and you can purchase your $500 worth of groceries that you most certainly need to survive this BEAST of a storm we're facing.
